T-Systems is approved by gematik as a trust service provider and is therefore an official producer of eHBA and SMC-B.
The eHBA and SMC-B from T-Systems can be used in the telematics infrastructure independently of providers and manufacturers.
The Security Module Card Type B (SMC-B), also known as a practice card, is your ticket to participating in the telematics infrastructure (TI). It is a key storage device for the private keys of a healthcare organisation (e.g. practices, hospitals, care facilities). These keys serve as "identification" to other components, organisations and service providers within the telematics infrastructure. The practice card entitles healthcare organisations and institutions to offer and use services in the TI. It enables the reading and updating of insured persons' master data on your patients' electronic health cards.
