FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro

The switch from DSL to fibre optics is imminent. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro offers complete flexibility for this technological change and runs directly on fibre optic or DSL connections. The new top-of-the-range model is suitable for all common fibre optic connections: an SFP module is included for the GPON standard, as well as a 2.5 Gbit/s WAN port for use with a fibre optic modem (ONT). Alternatively, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro can be used on all DSL connections, including supervectoring, for speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro brings Wi-Fi 7 with multi-gigabit speeds to fibre optic or DSL connections. The 6 GHz band provides very high data throughput in the WLAN with channels up to 320 MHz wide. This combination of low latency and high throughput enables powerful wireless communication even for future real-time applications. Current applications also benefit from faster connections, even over long distances and for many mobile devices. Connections are now even more robust with the built-in mechanisms in Wi-Fi 7, because potentially disturbed areas can be detected and excluded from communication. This results in even more stable conditions for wireless communication.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro can transmit high data rates of up to around 18.5 GBit/s across the three frequency bands 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and, for the first time, 6 GHz. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro takes full advantage of these benefits of Wi-Fi 7 on the 5 and 6 GHz bands.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro makes it easy to integrate Zigbee LED bulbs and DECT ULE lamps from various manufacturers into the FRITZ!Box smart home and control them via an app. The integrated DECT base station allows smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 302/301 radiator controller, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 switchable sockets, the FRITZ!DECT 440 push button or the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp to be controlled with the FRITZ!Box. The integration of Matter, the new IP-based smart home standard, is in preparation. This will allow smart home apps from other manufacturers to centrally control FRITZ! smart products in their apps.
