Dr. Niklas Horstmann

Dr Niklas Horstmann has been with Deutsche Telekom since 2016. As Vice President of Secure Networking at T Business, he is responsible for secure enterprise networks and serves as Chief Operating Officer of Telekom Security. With a PhD in industrial engineering, he combines economic foresight with a deep understanding of technology and focuses on the challenges of modern connectivity. His focus is on how secure networking, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence interact to make businesses – particularly small and medium-sized enterprises – resilient and fit for the future. With his commitment to intelligent, network-based threat defence and his credo that ‘security belongs in the network’, he is one of the leading voices shaping the future of secure networks.
