Important note:

The client certificate previously available for download is valid until 8 October 2024.

The revised client certificate, valid until 10 December 2026 client certificate for logging in via WebConfig is available for download here and can be installed immediately.

Web configuration interface

We provide a web-based configuration tool for easy management of the partner relationships stored on our system (EDI, AS2 and Message Gate) and for setting your filters for emails from the internet.

To use WebConfig for the first time, you need to import a general client certificate into your browser's certificate folder. If you use multiple client certificates, you must specify this when establishing a connection to WebConfig. Later, you can also use personalised certificates that do not require you to enter login details. However, these are signed by the 2021-2031 WebConfig Root CA certificate, which you must therefore import into your browser as a trusted root certification authority.
Help with importing certificates for the most common browsers can be downloaded: Help Client Webconfig 2021.

Further information on the certificates used can be found on our supplier's support website at: https://sbca.telesec.de/sbca/ee/ca-certificate/list.html

You can access our WebConfig page here: Web

To log in to WebConfig for the first time, you can use your current mailbox login details (username, password) and you will then be asked to set a new password. This password is only valid for WebConfig. If you do not have access to these login details, please contact the BusinessMailX.400 helpdesk. The initial setup of a new username and password for WebConfig is free of charge. You can obtain the connection data required for access from our helpdesk. Web service for WebConfig

A RESTful web service has been integrated into WebConfig, which can be used to manage partnerships (for central EDI function, AS2 gateway, MessageGate file interface, SMTP MTA), basic settings (AS2 gateway, MessageGate file interface, SMTP MTA) and the filter function of the SMTP gateway (also for standard mailboxes) from within a programme. Using http(s) Request POST, entries can be created (partnerships, filter rules), changed with PUT (basic settings, partnerships), queried with GET (basic settings, partnerships, filter rules) or deleted with DELETE (partnerships, filter rules). The data must be transferred in CSV format or is provided in this format. A personalised WebConfig certificate is required to use the web service. Details can be found in the quick guide to the web service at
