This takes communication between emergency services to a whole new level, allowing them to respond more effectively in critical situations and utilise new broadband communication functions such as video, data, messaging and location tracking – for a better overview, faster decisions and maximum safety during operations.

Prioritised network access – a stable connection when every second counts

We provide prioritised communication for emergency services on Telekom’s best 4G/5G network. Even when mobile network cells are overloaded, their communication remains stable and available. Because it is precisely where large numbers of people are gathered that communication must function reliably – with prioritised network capacity via the BOS lane.

Push2Talk – Fast communication at the touch of a button

Together with our partners Motorola and TASSTA, we are creating an innovative platform that supports emergency services in their daily work. Direct voice transmission starts at the touch of a button – without waiting times or call setup. Emergency services can communicate immediately with individuals or groups. This speeds up the flow of information and supports smooth coordination – on smartphones, tablets or specialised devices.

Push2Video – Greater security thanks to live images

Videos can be transmitted in real time at the touch of a button. This allows incident commanders to visually assess the situation, make decisions more quickly and increase the safety of everyone involved. Thanks to adaptive streaming technologies, transmission remains reliable even when network quality fluctuates and is encrypted throughout.

Precise crisis communication

In crisis situations, clear information is crucial. However, congested networks and chaotic environments often make rapid communication difficult. Our solution prioritises voice and video data over highly secure networks. This allows emergency services to remain operational – for better coordination and faster decision-making.

Protection of emergency services personnel

During operations, it is not only the safety of others that counts, but also that of the emergency services themselves. That is why reliable alarm solutions are needed for personal protection. Our personal emergency call system automatically detects critical events such as a fall via sensors and immediately alerts the team – for rapid assistance and maximum safety during operations.

Experienced cooperation

Effective operations require seamless coordination and communication between all emergency services.
Our solution enables centralised control via special emergency channels that transmit prioritised messages immediately and across groups – for immediate response and smooth cooperation in the field.

Flexibility in application scenarios

Operations change quickly. New units must be seamlessly integrated and situation information must be up to date at all times. Our solution enables group coordination via communication and GPS systems, shows the position of all units in real time and supports video transmissions – for better situation assessment.

Telekom brings 5G and public authority radio together with T Mission

Deutsche Telekom presented significant enhancements to the T Mission portfolio at PMRExpo 2025 in Cologne. These include an interface (interworking function) that enables communication between MCx and TETRA, allowing emergency services to be networked regardless of the technology used. Telekom also showcased a new video function that can transmit up to ten video streams in real time. In collaboration with ats Elektronik, a user interface for real-time monitoring of vital data was introduced. These innovations strengthen the resilience and functionality of public authority radio communications.
