Simplify care and break down barriers

Care management is currently characterised by a shortage of skilled workers and many external requirements. Extensive documentation is essential. Due to the high time pressure, it is often prone to errors, incomplete and inconsistent. The digitisation of processes offers enormous potential to reduce the challenges in care, relieve the burden on staff and ultimately gain more time for what is most important: those in need of care.

Care is complicated. Let's simplify it!

Care situations bring fundamental changes for those in need of care and their relatives in terms of independence and the need for external support. Caregivers face several challenges at once: performing care tasks, acting economically and complying with legal requirements. This is exacerbated by limited time and personnel resources. Telekom offers digital solutions that serve to make the daily work of carers more efficient, relieve time pressure and support the care of those in need.

Speech to Care

Voice-based documentation directly at the point of care enables complete recording and traceability in the correct language. Incomplete entries are considered documentation errors. The caregiver must then prove that they acted correctly or face legal consequences.

Real-time recording

Direct transfer to the documentation system – whether manual or automated – reduces errors and avoids duplicate entries. The more time that passes, the higher the risk that important and care-related information will be forgotten, become inaccurate or subsequently falsified, leading to unnecessary queries.

Anytime, anywhere

Centralised communication within the team and nursing documentation serve as important tools for the structured and transparent transfer of nursing-related information. This ensures complete traceability of the nursing process and the current status of care during shift changes or handovers.

Data in the EU

Compliance with legal requirements is mandatory and forms the basis for the responsible handling of confidential information. Care documentation contains particularly sensitive personal data and is subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the duty of confidentiality pursuant to Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB).

Webinar: Digitalisation in nursing care

In a practical and direct presentation by Vincent Renken from Burchard Führer GmbH, which operates over 40 care facilities and residential complexes, and Nadja Müller and Torben Osmers from T Business, you can learn how care facilities can shape the digital transformation in the webinar recording entitled "Responsibility, trust and modern technologies".

Care documentation – simple, digital, time-saving.

This white paper shows how modern technologies – from intelligent light call systems and AI-supported documentation to sensor-based care – can already be put to practical use today to make care future-proof. With its manufacturer-independent
system integration, Telekom Germany demonstrates how digital care documentation, modern light call systems, AI and sensor technology can be combined to form an intelligent overall system. Funding programmes such as the Care Support and Relief Act (PUEG) also facilitate financing.

"Due to the strained staffing situation, you have to automate and digitise all processes to the maximum extent possible – otherwise you don't stand a chance," says Jens Thomas Lück, managing director of the Anlagering retirement and nursing home, summarising the successful modernisation of the infrastructure, including a new IP light call system and the connection of existing devices for care documentation, administration and duty scheduling.
