Digital & human. Care with heart and high-tech.
We support carers in their daily work with smart technology, personalised advice and robust equipment. Because every minute counts – and every person.
Care management is currently characterised by a shortage of skilled workers and many external requirements. Extensive documentation is essential. Due to the high time pressure, it is often prone to errors, incomplete and inconsistent. The digitisation of processes offers enormous potential to reduce the challenges in care, relieve the burden on staff and ultimately gain more time for what is most important: those in need of care.
Care situations bring fundamental changes for those in need of care and their relatives in terms of independence and the need for external support. Caregivers face several challenges at once: performing care tasks, acting economically and complying with legal requirements. This is exacerbated by limited time and personnel resources. Telekom offers digital solutions that serve to make the daily work of carers more efficient, relieve time pressure and support the care of those in need.

Digital care documentation via voice saves time and facilitates multilingual communication – bringing people closer together.
Modern shift coordination via app brings structure and transparency – and takes the pressure off the team.
Your contact person will accompany your care facilities on their journey into the digital future.
Voice-based documentation directly at the point of care enables complete recording and traceability in the correct language. Incomplete entries are considered documentation errors. The caregiver must then prove that they acted correctly or face legal consequences.
Direct transfer to the documentation system – whether manual or automated – reduces errors and avoids duplicate entries. The more time that passes, the higher the risk that important and care-related information will be forgotten, become inaccurate or subsequently falsified, leading to unnecessary queries.
Centralised communication within the team and nursing documentation serve as important tools for the structured and transparent transfer of nursing-related information. This ensures complete traceability of the nursing process and the current status of care during shift changes or handovers.
Compliance with legal requirements is mandatory and forms the basis for the responsible handling of confidential information. Care documentation contains particularly sensitive personal data and is subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the duty of confidentiality pursuant to Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB).
Intelligent sensor solutions help care facilities to significantly improve safety, workflows and quality of life. Movements, vital signs and critical situations such as falls, smoke development or temperature changes are recorded in real time – discreetly and in compliance with data protection regulations. This enables care staff to take more targeted action, prevent overload and allow residents to enjoy greater independence.
Digital participation by residents is important and requires high-performance Wi-Fi as well as secure management of the Wi-Fi hardware by the operator. Digital management tools make it easy to manage Wi-Fi access for residents and guests. Access management systems from Telekom subsidiary goingsoft Germany GmbH enable secure ticketing for individual access codes, GDPR-compliant login data logging and the separation of internal and guest networks, as is the case in the hotel industry.
DIN VDE 0834 defines how a call system should be set up and operated. Telekom installs light call systems to signal all alarm messages on cordless and mobile devices and takes care of the installation and operation of fire alarm systems in accordance with DIN 14675 in senior centres. For this purpose, a silent alarm is activated on both mobile devices and the light call system. Alarm servers receive light call or fire alarms and distribute them to the correct recipients.
Translating conversations in real time simplifies communication between residents, relatives and carers. Whether during rounds or in exchanges between international carers, spoken words are immediately transcribed and translated into the desired language. This creates clarity, understanding and trust. A technology that makes care more human and enables multinational teamwork.
Modern collaboration solutions such as Zoom, Webex and Microsoft Teams lay the foundation for simple and efficient digital collaboration. Teams can share knowledge across disciplines, coordinate flexibly and work together on documents in real time – regardless of location or device. This results in smooth processes, faster decisions and more intensive exchange, which strengthens both collaboration and quality of care.
An employee app seamlessly connects nursing staff, administration and management – anytime, anywhere. It ensures transparent, fast communication in all directions, conveys security and appreciation, and actively involves everyone in the company's development. HR processes such as mandatory training, holiday requests or data changes can be easily handled digitally. This creates a modern work culture with the same technical standards as in everyday private life.
Samsung ruggedised models are mobile devices that are practical to use in everyday care work. Dust, knocks, operation with gloves, drops, water, disinfectants – no problem at all. These robust smartphones and tablets are perfectly suited to these working conditions.
Digital HR solutions help make HR processes in nursing care more efficient, flexible and employee-oriented. From digital recruitment and structured onboarding to AI-supported staff scheduling and innovative training solutions, the focus is on the individual potential and needs of your employees. Intuitive apps, self-services and automated, compliance-compliant processes simplify workflows – for greater transparency and satisfaction.
In a practical and direct presentation by Vincent Renken from Burchard Führer GmbH, which operates over 40 care facilities and residential complexes, and Nadja Müller and Torben Osmers from T Business, you can learn how care facilities can shape the digital transformation in the webinar recording entitled "Responsibility, trust and modern technologies".
This white paper shows how modern technologies – from intelligent light call systems and AI-supported documentation to sensor-based care – can already be put to practical use today to make care future-proof. With its manufacturer-independent
system integration, Telekom Germany demonstrates how digital care documentation, modern light call systems, AI and sensor technology can be combined to form an intelligent overall system. Funding programmes such as the Care Support and Relief Act (PUEG) also facilitate financing.

"Due to the strained staffing situation, you have to automate and digitise all processes to the maximum extent possible – otherwise you don't stand a chance," says Jens Thomas Lück, managing director of the Anlagering retirement and nursing home, summarising the successful modernisation of the infrastructure, including a new IP light call system and the connection of existing devices for care documentation, administration and duty scheduling.
