With these tariffs, you can even integrate your employees' work smartphones as mobile extensions.

SIP trunking is comparable to a telephone connection based on a data line. It allows multiple individual or extension numbers to be operated in IP-based telephone systems with just a single access account. You can connect a stationary telephone system via SIP trunking.
Cloud PBX consists of a connection for telephony and internet, a cloud telephone system with functions for audio and video conferencing and messaging (message and data exchange). The functions can be used independently of location with all IP-enabled end devices such as laptops, smartphones or tablets. With CompanyFlex, the cloud-based telephone system is always included – even if you initially decide to use a stationary telephone system via SIP trunking – the Cloud PBX can be easily activated yourself at any time.
You are familiar with individual telephone numbers from your private life; they are the part of the telephone number that follows the area code. In contrast, extension numbers consist of a so-called number block, which can be used to dial individual terminals of a telephone system directly. A number block consists of a series of consecutive numbers that are appended to a base number. The first digits after the area code (base number) are always the same, and additional digits – the extensions – can be used to reach individual employees, fax machines, conference rooms, etc.
You can find more information on this in our guide article. "Success factor: type of telephone number".
Both Cloud PBX and SIP Trunk offer professional services for those who do not want to take care of the setup or administration themselves.
