Microsoft New Commerce Experience: These are the new features

In 2022, Microsoft made changes to its collaboration with its CSP partners, such as Telekom. At the heart of these changes is a new networked platform: the New Commerce Platform. This also includes Microsoft Cloud offerings Microsoft 365, Office 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Microsoft Azure. This has also led to a number of innovations and changes for purchasing subscriptions and licences via Telekom – your preferred cloud service provider – which we would like to present to you on this page.

This will change for all products:

  • New subscription options: You can now combine annual and monthly subscription terms to achieve the ideal mix of price and flexibility. Now also available for Business Editions.
  • New term options: Three-year terms are planned for Microsoft 365 subscriptions. This option already exists for Dynamics 365 subscriptions.
  • Fixed terms: Microsoft no longer permits early termination, even for good cause, meaning that terms must always be honoured.
  • Limited upgrades possible: During the term, upgrades to higher-value products are only possible within the migration paths specified by Microsoft.

1-month subscription

  • Price protection: for one month
  • Increase the number of users: possible at any time
  • Reduce number of users: at the end of the contract
  • Billing: monthly

1-year subscription

  • Price protection: for one year
  • Increase the number of users: possible at any time
  • Reduce number of users: at the end of the contract
  • Billing: monthly or annually

3-year subscription

  • Price protection: for three years
  • Increase the number of users: possible at any time
  • Reduce number of users: at the end of the contract
  • Billing: monthly or annually
  • Currently only possible with Dynamics 365
