Data tariffs for business customers

A data tariff is a tariff for a pure data connection with a mobile Internet flat rate, which enables fast Internet surfing on the go. Unlike a fixed broadband connection in the office, you use a high-speed data connection via the mobile network and without Wi-Fi.
As a provider, we offer you a similar Internet surfing experience to your broadband connection in the office with new and fast transmission standards such as 5G – it is a genuine replacement for DSL. 
5G data tariffs are worthwhile for you if you are often on the move with your tablet or laptop and want to connect to the Internet while on the go. Of course, you can also surf the Internet on the move with your other devices via a personal hotspot created on your smartphone, but this uses up the data volume of your mobile phone tariff and always takes a little time to establish a connection.

Our 5G data tariffs, which are offered with a mobile Internet flat rate for tablets and laptops, differ from smartphone tariffs in that they are designed for Internet use rather than for making calls. 

For your smartphone, you should choose a classic mobile phone tariff that also allows you to make calls. If you want to use the internet on your mobile devices to surf and work, we recommend a 5G data tariff.

To choose the right data contract for you, you should first assess your data requirements so that you always have sufficient data volume available. If you only use your data plan secondarily for your tablet or laptop, for example to check your emails, send small files or catch up on the latest news while on the go, then one of our data plans with a lower data volume (plan with data pass and flexible use or 5 GB per month) will suffice. 

If, on the other hand, you are a power user of mobile data, always have your laptop with you, and use streaming portals (e.g. for webinars) in addition to messenger services, then you should opt for an LTE or 5G data tariff with a higher inclusive data volume.

Don't worry, you can initially opt for a 5G data plan with a specific data allowance without any risk and upgrade to a higher data plan at any time, even during the contract period, if you find that the monthly data allowance is not sufficient. You will always have control over your costs, even after increasing your data allowance. 

If you exceed the monthly data allowance specified in your data plan, you don't need to worry about hidden extra costs. You can continue to use your LTE or 5G data plan, but the mobile data transfer speed will be reduced. This means that some websites will take a little longer to load or download speeds will be slower.
To avoid having to wait until the next month for new data volume, you can add more data at any time at https://pass.telekom.de/ (only accessible via mobile network/smartphone) and receive new data volume immediately.
By the way: we will inform you by email as soon as you have used 80% and 100% of your data package, so that you can add suitable data passes at any time if necessary.

Our 5G data tariffs Business Mobil Data S, M and L already include the EU roaming option, including Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the United Kingdom.
