Hazard alarm systems (GMA) are capable of independently detecting hazards or processing user input regarding hazards and forwarding this information to the telecommunications control centre. The purpose is to reliably detect and report hazards to property and life caused by burglary, robbery and fire.

Video surveillance is the observation of places, objects or people using video cameras.
Visual or audiovisual data can be stored digitally, analysed by software and/or transmitted to the
Telekom control centre.

A key argument in favour of video surveillance is the prevention ("observation pressure") and investigation of crimes through the identification of perpetrators and documentation of the course of events. This can also involve the prevention of vandalism.

In many professions, working alone is unavoidable. People employed in forestry, security guards, maintenance personnel, workers who carry out inspections and many others are on their own while at work. And this is precisely where the important question arises: who will help in an emergency? A person working alone has no companion who could trigger the rescue chain in an emergency. Without lone worker protection, employees can lose their lives in a crisis situation. And this is precisely where the following applies: the employer is responsible for ensuring that lone workers are not exposed to greater risks than other employees.
