Telekom Business Mobile mobile phone tariff & Microsoft Teams basic licence
To order and use Mobile for Microsoft Teams, you first need a Business Mobile (3rd generation or 5th generation) mobile phone tariff from Telekom and a Microsoft Edition that includes the Microsoft Teams application.
Next, you will need the Microsoft add-on "Phone Standard" to use telephony functions in Microsoft Teams. You can currently book the add-on on the Telekom Cloud Marketplace for business customers with (€8.68 instead of €9.14 per month/user). Our certified support team will also be happy to assist you with the booking process.
Please note that the add-on is already included in the Office 365 E5 and Microsoft 365 E5 editions and does not need to be purchased separately.

Various conditions apply to purchasing Microsoft Teams Phone Standard with a Telekom discount. For example, an active landline or mobile phone contract with Telekom is required for the entire contract period. By placing your order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
The discount granted is valid exclusively for new Microsoft Teams Phone Standard contracts and can be applied for a period of up to 12 months after purchase. Please also note that the discount is non-transferable.
What does "Telekom customer" mean? Telekom
customers are defined as customers who have an active landline or mobile phone contract with Telekom for the entire term of the contract. By placing an order, you confirm that this requirement is met.
What happens after the discount period expires?
If the discount has expired in accordance with the terms and conditions and the Microsoft Teams Phone Standard subscription has not been cancelled in time, your contract will be automatically renewed at the current non-discounted prices. The current terms and conditions can be found in the price list.
Add Telekom Deutschland as your telephony provider in the Teams Admin Centre under "VoIP/Telephony Providers". Licence your Teams account with the Microsoft add-ons "Microsoft Teams Phone Standard" and "Teams Phone Mobile". Add the "Teams Mobile" option to your mobile phone contract in the Telekom Business Service Portal or via your Telekom mobile phone service (+49 800 33 02828). The mobile phone number will then appear in the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre under "VoIP/Phone numbers". There, the mobile phone number can be assigned to your Teams account. Finally, log out of your Teams apps and log back in so that the mobile number appears in the app.
In exceptional cases, setup in the Teams Admin Centre may take up to 24 hours.

Yes. Switch to the Teams app (Uplift) during the call. The current call will be displayed there and you can move the call to the Teams app. All the features of the Teams app are available there.
Outgoing calls can be made from all mobile devices with a Multi-SIM card inserted via the Teams app or the mobile device's built-in operating system telephony function. For incoming calls, the Teams app or the built-in operating system telephony function rings on all Multi-SIM mobile devices to which you have assigned the inserted SIM card in Teams.
No. Currently, individual users still have to decide whether they want to use a mobile number or a landline number in Teams. The option to use both a landline and a mobile number at the same time is planned for a later date.
If you make calls with the Teams app for 20 hours using the data volume of your mobile phone contract, you will need approximately 1 GB (equivalent to approximately 1 MB per minute). Using the Teams app on a LAN (PC, laptop), Wi-Fi or hotspots does not count towards your mobile phone contract's data allowance. You can also make calls via GSM/VoLTE using the mobile device's built-in operating system telephony function, regardless of your mobile phone contract's data allowance.
Incoming calls ring on all devices that are online with your Teams account in the installed Teams app/web app (PC, laptop, tablet, mobile phone, Teams-certified desk phone).
In addition to the Teams app or without the Teams app, the pure GSM/VoLTE functionality of mobile devices can also be used to make calls with the mobile device's built-in operating system telephony function. Calls made via GMS/VoLTE are also visible in Teams, for example in the call history.
